Accommodations/Cost
The base
camp is located on the Nushagak River, 350 miles southwest of Anchorage.
Living quarters consist of spacious, weather-proof tents with wooden
floors and heat stoves. Meals are served by our resident chef/baker in a
large dining tent which doubles as our "lounge" where guests gather to
recount the day's adventures. Spike camps are set as dictated by game
movement and availability, and though a step down from base camp, they
provide a warm comfortable place to sleep and good food to eat.
Normal mode of transportation is by 18-foot flat bottomed boat with
outboard jet motors. We keep a Cessna 185 on floats at the base camp,
primarily for emergencies and to haul supplies, but available also if we
have a spike camp that is available only by airplane.
Transportation:
Arrival
point for all hunters is Dillingham, Alaska. Dillingham is served by
Alaskan Airlines, with jet service from Anchorage. Hunters are met at the
airport and taken to your final destination in the field. You should plan
to arrive in Dillingham one day prior to the beginning of your hunt.
